This water-based paint remover will effectively remove up to 15 layers of almost any coating (oil-based, water-based, acrylic, lacquer, urethanes – even old lead-based paint) from any outdoor or indoor surface (wood, brick, stone, concrete, plaster, metal, plastic, glass, fiberglass, etc.) Smart Strip contains no volatile organic compounds, is odorless, user-friendly, 100% biodegradable and pH neutral.

Smart Strip is a revolutionary paint remover that is safe for the user, materials and the environment. The product is classified as non-hazardous, is pH neutral, does not contain methylene chloride, NMP, corrosives, volatile organic compounds (VOC) and is 100% biodegradable. This water-based paint remover is extremely effective at removing multiple layers of building and heavy industrial paint from virtually all types of indoor and outdoor surfaces – wood, brick, metal, concrete, stone, plaster, fiberglass, etc. Smart Strip is excellent for removing lead-based paint and for removing boat and ship paint without damaging the gel coat. Smart Strip is excellent for detailed, carved or molded surfaces. Smart Strip has the consistency of a paste, making it easy to apply with a brush, paint roller or conventional airless sprayer. Smart Strip is formulated to stay wet and effective for longer without the use of Dumond Laminated Paper. (Dumond Laminated Paper can be purchased separately if required). The reaction time will vary depending on the type of coating, number of layers and temperature. For best results, leave the paste on overnight or longer. Remove softened/emulsified paint with a scraper, spatula, squeegee or pressure washer. The stripped surface is then cleaned with water or denatured alcohol to remove paint residue. Allow the surface to dry before repainting.
